Album Review:
This album has to be one of my all time favorite albums. The band is also one of my favorites. One of the things that stand out the most to me about the album probably has to be how different the songs are. The songs are beautifully written and you can tell that they're pouring out their emotions in every single song. Also I like how they write all of their own songs. Artists now just have other people write songs for them and they become hits, I think it's completely unfair. Bands put so much work and pour out all of their feelings in every single piece of music they create and they don't nearly get enough credit for it. It's disappointing how artists who sometimes can't even sing get stardom while bands who make their own music and write their own songs get about 5 seconds of fame for one song. Even though some people think that the songs are "so relatable" and are most of the time used as cliché quotes, listeners just completely bypass the actual meaning of the songs. If people actually sat down and listened to the lyrics they would understand what the song was about not just listening to it so they can say that they love that band and know every song. It bothers me a lot when people do that. So before i go on and rant even more... I would completely recommend this album to absolutely anyone.

This painting represents the album in many ways. One of the ways is how the colors and girl can be interpreted. The happy rainbow array of colors can represent all of the happy and upbeat songs on the album like "Dear Maria, Count Me In". But there is also the sad girl with the umbrella. That girl can represent the more serene and somber songs like "Remembering Sunday". The painting basically just represents the variation of songs on the album. This painting also kind of looks like the cover of the album :)
I have no idea who made this painting because I found it on google images... |
